The St. Luke Hospitals make it a priority to educate our community on cancer prevention and early detection. Our continued commitment to provide the best possible patient care includes programs of cancer prevention, cancer information services, community outreach activities and continuing education for our health care professionals. The St. Luke Hospitals:
- Distribute a Community Cancer Resource Guide, which lists all Greater Cincinnati cancer-related organizations, services and centers for the general public. This guide is available in print format or online.
- Offer free fecal occult blood tests during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
- Provide education on a wide array of disease-specific cancer screening programs.
- Provide a Patient Education Resource Center for our patients and the community. The center is stocked with information about cancer education, early detection screenings, treatment, research and other cancer-related resources.
- Support community events and organizations like the American Cancer Society, Cancer Family Care, Greater Cincinnati Cancer Survivors Day, Northern Kentucky Women’s Cancer Coalition and The Wellness Community.
