Cincinnati Lifestyle &
Relocation Information
One of the greatest benefits of becoming a part of the Health Alliance is living and working in the “Queen City” of Cincinnati. Named America’s most livable city in 1993, Cincinnati is Ohio’s third largest city and is characterized by its thriving arts and culture scene, as well as its many sports and recreation opportunities. Nestled on the banks of the Ohio River in the heart of America, Cincinnati is characterized by river-city charm, big-city attractions and small-town friendliness.

Industry and Commerce
Cincinnati is home to such FORTUNE 500 companies as Proctor & Gamble, and has built its diverse global economy on a variety of industries. In all, nearly 350 FORTUNE 500 companies maintain operations here.

Sports and Recreation
Cincinnati sports fans enjoy the city’s two major league teams—the Reds and the Bengals. Cincinnati also boasts an abundance of parks, woods, lakes, municipal tennis courts, and golf courses.
A walking tour of downtown will reveal a unique ambience that includes diverse architecture, outdoor sculptures and pocket parks. Scenic riverboat cruises, festivals, and King’s Island—one of the nation’s top seasonal theme parks—also await. And the Cincinnati Zoo is rated one of the top three zoos in the United States.

Culture and the Arts
Cultural options in the Queen City rival those of larger cities. Residents and visitors alike look forward to performances by the Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Symphony, and Pops Orchestras in the Aronoff Center and Riverbend Amphitheater. The Cincinnati Art Museum houses more than 100,000 works of art spanning 5,000 years, while the restored Union Terminal contains a variety of other museums and attractions and is one of the country’s most spectacular examples of Art Deco architecture.

Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment
Be prepared for a sparkling array of options! Opportunities abound to indulge in fun, food and fashion! Upscale stores—including such national favorites as Banana Republic, Tiffany’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue—are plentiful in the Queen City, as is fine dining, including the five-star Maisonette, an incredible variety of ethnic restaurants, art galleries, unique specialty shops, nightspots, concerts, coffeehouses, and outdoor cafes.

Education
Cincinnati is a major learning center. Fourteen colleges and universities with an enrollment of at least 10,000 can be found within a 100-mile radius of Greater Cincinnati.

Transportation
The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is served by eight major commercial airlines, encompassing more than 600 commercial flights each day, including nonstop service to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. Cincinnati is easily accessible by air, bus (Greyhound or Southeastern Trailways) or rail (Amtrak).
