Scholarship Information

The Health Alliance supports the education and development of future health care professionals through our widespread scholarship program. While minimizing the financial burden of today’s students, we provide academic and clinical excellence. The Health Alliance’s recruitment of these new graduate professionals ensures our dedication to exceptional care in our community and encourages new associates to join our organization.

The University Hospital

The University Hospital and The Health Alliance have committed scholarship monies for one (1) full four-year scholarship for an incoming minority student each year up to $10,000 based upon scholarship dollars available. In return, the scholarship recipient agrees to work at The University Hospital full-time for at least 18 months upon graduation. Health Alliance Healthcare Career Tuition Benefit Program

Healthcare students majoring in RN, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Sonography, Nuclear Tech and Surgical Tech are eligible for up to $4,000 award with the understanding they must complete a 12-month full-time work commitment to the Health Alliance. The Fort Hamilton Hospital Foundation Health Careers Assistance Program

Healthcare career scholarships for Butler County residents are awarded based on academic performance and financial need. The school must offer a health care program(s) or the coursework for which this scholarship would cover must be a prerequisite for admission to a health care program. Applications must be received by April 15th. Contact the Fort Hamilton healthcare Foundation at 513-867-2697 for additional information or an application.

Pharmacy Intern Tuition Benefit

The Pharmacy Intern Tuition Benefit is available for Health Alliance pharmacy interns. The student must be enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy and be employed by the Health Alliance for at least 10 hours per week. In return, upon graduation, the recipient agrees to a work commitment to the Health Alliance for 12 months for each year of paid tuition. Contact Sharyn Makrancy at 513-585-8919 for an application.

Pharmacy Tuition Benefit Program

For non-Health Alliance associates, a tuition benefit of $6,000 for tuition, fees and textbooks will be credited to selected students enrolled in a pharmacy program, who will be graduating within two years. The student will, in turn, provide the Health Alliance with an 18-month full-time work commitment upon graduation. Contact Sharyn Makrancy at 513-585-8919 for an application.

Health Careers Foundation

The Health Alliance is a participating employer who promotes annual scholarships awarded by the Health Careers Foundation (“HCF”). The mission of HCF is to encourage education among men and women who choose to devote their lives to preserving and bettering the lives of others through careers in healthcare. Since 1990, over 4,300 individuals have been granted awards totaling nearly $9.6 million in assistance.
