Lactation consultation is a growing and important field. Mothers beginning to breastfeed have many questions and need much support. The Health Alliance provides a program for persons interested in gaining clinical experience in lactation to better serve breastfeeding patients' needs.
Pharmacy Residency

The Health Alliance pharmacies collaborate to integrate the system-wide functions of formulary development, UD and IV admixture distribution services, budgetary development and staff teaching. Residents within the Health Alliance can select from a variety of patient care experiences, including those of other member hospitals.

Our facilities offer a range of medical and surgical services, including a Level I trauma center, air care, and cardiac services, with the area’s only heart transplant program. We also offer women’s health services with the area’s first Level 3 perinatal center. Other services include oncology and bone marrow transplant, orthopedics, behavioral medicine, and a wide variety of primary care and wellness programs.

The Jewish Hospital Internal Medicine residency program is dedicated to preparing resident physicians for the practice of Internal Medicine by providing a curriculum in accordance with ACGME guidelines for General Internal Medicine.

It is estimated that the Emergency Department will see over 30,000 visits annually.  Here, residents receive most of their academic training while participating fully in the evaluation, care and surgery of the large volume of patients.  The residents will rotate at the Shriners Hospital for Children for their burn experience, The Christ Hospital for their transplantation experience, the Children's Hospital Medical Center for their pediatric surgery experience, and The University Hospital for their trauma/critical care experience.
