Employee Assistance is a confidential counseling and referral service for Health Alliance associates of any level to help solve personal and work-related problems such as:
- Balancing work and family.
- Work-related stresses.
- Relationship issues including separation, divorce and remarriage.
- Meeting the challenges and stresses of parenting or single parenting.
- Coping with depression and anxiety.
- Caring for an elderly parent or disabled family member.
- Drug and alcohol abuse.
- Any other troublesome problem.
Managers and supervisors may consult with Employee Assistance on:
- Management strategies.
- Difficult associates.
- Problems with teams.
- Group morale issues.
- Strategies for building better teams.
Who is Eligible
Associates of any level and members of their immediate households including domestic partners may use Employee Assistance.
Cost of Coverage
There is no charge to associates or members of their households for the services of Alliance Employee Assistance. If you are referred to an outside therapist or counselor, there may be a charge. Your health insurance may cover a portion of such costs.
Health Alliance Marie Brown Employee Emergency Fund
The Health Alliance Marie Brown Employee Emergency Fund was created in memory of Marie Brown, Vice President of Planning, to help associates in times of personal financial crisis. Money for the fund is donated by associates and the Health Alliance. The fund is available for help with housing, utility bills or other critical needs after other avenues of seeking assistance have been exhausted. Any associate can make a donation to the fund. Who is Eligible
Any Health Alliance associate may apply for assistance. Students, temporary associates and contract workers are not eligible for this assistance.
