Wellness And Early Diagnosis The Health Alliance provides numerous cancer screenings and educational programs for the Cincinnati community.
Each year the Health Alliance presents educational programs for the public as well as conferences for health care professionals. The next public symposium, Healthy Lungs, will be offered in April at no cost to participants. Those who attend will learn about the impact the environment may have on the lungs, how to protect children from second-hand smoke, how smoking affects pregnancy, and the latest technology for the treatment of lung cancer. A symposium for health care professionals will be offered this fall on Advances in Head and Neck Cancer. This conference is recommended for physicians, nurses and other health care providers. All of the Alliance hospitals offer a cancer information center that provides information about prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support, technology and clinical trials.
