Health Alliance Appoints Barry Marshall as Administrator, Transplant Services

The Health Alliance has appointed Barry Marshall as administrator of transplant services. In his new role, Marshall is responsible for the overall management of the solid organ transplant services, including program design and implementation; financial and human resource management; public relations and marketing; and strategic planning. He also oversees the Hepatobiliary Surgical Program, Hepatology Program and Vascular Access Surgery Program. Marshall has been with the Health Alliance for nearly three years, where he most recently served as director of transplant operations. In this role, Marshall oversaw the daily operations of the solid organ transplant programs at The University Hospital and the financial management of all Health Alliance transplant programs. He has also served as director of contract administration for the Health Alliance. Before joining the Health Alliance, Marshall worked at Franciscan Health Care Systems in Dayton, where he served as the managed care director and executive director for the physician-hospital organization (PHO). He has also served as director of development for a statewide PHO in Louisiana for Columbia HCA. Marshall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health care management from Franklin University and an Associate's degree in computer science from Columbus State University. Marshall is a resident of West Chester.
