Three Health Alliance Hospitals Honored For Workplace Safety Efforts

Date: 6-1-2006Cincinnati-The Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) has recognized The Christ Hospital, The University Hospital and The Fort Hamilton Hospital for their workplace safety efforts. The hospitals will be acknowledged at the OHA Recognition Dinner on June 12 at the Hilton Columbus at Easton.
Each year, OHA honors facilities with superior employee safety records. This year, 23 Ohio hospitals are being honored. Ninety-nine participating hospitals were divided into groups based on number of employees. Hospitals with the lowest injury rate in each group received an award. Additionally, hospitals that ranked in the top 20 percent in each category were recognized.
The Fort Hamilton Hospital was recognized for having the lowest injury rate for hospitals with 1,001-1,500 employees. The Christ Hospital had the lowest injury rate among the facilities with 2,501-4,000 employees. The University Hospital was awarded with the "Top Twenty Percent" award.
