The Christ Hospital and The University Hospital Recognized

Date: 07/27/2004Cincinnati--The Christ Hospital and The University Hospital have been recognized by the Ohio Hospital Safety Campaign, sponsored by the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA), for their successful hospital safety programs and superior employee safety records.
Hospitals were divided into groups based on the number of employees. The University Hospital was honored as the hospital with the lowest injury rate in the 2501 to 4000 employee group. The Christ Hospital was recognized as a "top 20 percent" winner.
To participate in the campaign, hospitals submitted information on workplace safety based on the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, which government hospitals maintain for the Ohio Department of Commerce.
The Christ Hospital and The University Hospital are part of the Health Alliance, an integrated health care delivery system, which also includes The St. Luke Hospitals, The Jewish Hospital, The Fort Hamilton Hospital and the physicians of Alliance Primary Care.
