West Chester - For some, Valentine's Day is about flowers, candy, and getting or giving the perfect gift. This year, West Chester Medical Center wants to encourage women to give themselves the gift of health by getting a mammogram.

During the week of February 15-19, every woman who schedules her annual screening mammogram with West Chester Medical Center will receive a special limited-edition pink tote bag, a free snack from The Gift Shop, coupons and discounts for local area businesses, and a chance to win a special gift drawing.

"Many women spend the whole year taking care of others - children, spouse, parents," says Tom Brown, MD, medical director of radiology. "We are encouraging women to take equally good care of themselves by being proactive in their health. It's what's best for your whole family."

With the most technologically advanced equipment and a highly-trained, compassionate imaging staff, West Chester Medical Center is the best place for your mammogram. Our dedicated Women's Imaging Center includes digital mammography, DEXA bone-density scanning, ultrasound, and stereotactic biopsy. All in a private area of the hospital designed with your comfort in mind.

Women who can't afford a mammogram may qualify for assistance through our Breast Education and Screening Together (BEST) program. BEST is a partnership with the American Cancer Society to offer free mammograms to low-income, uninsured or underinsured women. Contact us at 513-298-8948 for more information.

Call 513-298-FAST (3278) to schedule a mammogram today. No physician order is needed.
