Neuroscience Institute Offers Treatment Guidance

CINCINNATI - The Neuroscience Institute at the University of Cincinnati (UC) and University Hospital will present "Clinical Neuroscience IX: The Leading Edge of Neurologic Therapies," an educational symposium designed to help primary care physicians and neuroscience specialists provide improved care for patients who are coping with headaches, depression, lower back pain, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease.

The free symposium, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10 at the Cincinnati Museum Center, is appropriate for primary care physicians, internists, general practitioners, neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other allied health professionals.

Featured speakers are:

  • Michael Privitera, M.D., Director of the Cincinnati Epilepsy Center
  • David Ficker, Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the Cincinnati Epile psy Center
  • Charles Kuntz, IV, M.D., Mayfield Clinic neurosurgeon
  • Fredy J. Revilla, M.D., Director of the James J. and Joan A. Gardner Center for Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders
  • Dawn Kleindorfer, M.D., Associate Professor of Neurology, UC College of Medicine
  • Marcia Kaplan, M.D., Faculty, Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute
  • Lisa Mannix, M.D., Medical Director, Headache Associates
