Cincinnati - Greater Cincinnati cancer patients and their families can now access the 2005 online version of the Community Cancer Resource Guide at www.health-alliance.com/cancer. This online directory, provided by the Health Alliance hospitals, is a comprehensive list of primarily local businesses and organizations that provide services for individuals and their loved ones faced with cancer.
The services listed in the guide include physical support services, such as wigs and prostheses; social services, including financial and transportation services; emotional and spiritual support; education and research resources; and health care services for the chronically and terminally ill.
The Health Alliance hospitals have been publishing a hard copy of the guide since 1996. The guide is now made available online to reach more cancer patients and their loved ones.
The Health Alliance cancer Web site also offers a number of other services for cancer patients, including information on clinical trials, an extensive list of oncology physicians and support staff, and detailed knowledge specifically focused on what cancer is and how it spreads. To learn more about the resources offered online please visit our Web site at www.health-alliance.com/cancer.
The Health Alliance is an integrated health care delivery system that includes The Christ Hospital, The University Hospital, The St. Luke Hospitals, The Jewish Hospital, The Fort Hamilton Hospital, and the physicians of Alliance Primary Care.
