Northern Kentucky - The St. Luke Hospitals will present Living and Loving: Sexuality After Breast Cancer on Feb. 18 at Receptions South in Erlanger, Kentucky from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The program will consist of a number of breakout sessions, including sessions for couples to attend together, individual sessions and a session for breast cancer survivors who are single. Keynote speaker Sallie Foley, M.S.W., national speaker and author will present to the group. Foley is a Senior Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) at the University of Michigan Medical Center where she is responsible for the provision of outpatient psychotherapy services. She is an AASECT certified sex therapist and sex educator and writes and speaks frequently on the subject of human sexuality. Her clinical work and teaching address issues of psychological development, treatment of sexual dysfunction, and therapies for bereavement and traumatic loss. Her book "Sex Matters for Women: Taking Care of Your Sexual Self" was published in 2003. Her latest book is "Sex and Love for Grownups: A No-nonsense Guide to a Life of Passion" and grew from her "Modern Love" column which appears in aarpthemagazine. "As a Northern Kentucky leader in providing the most comprehensive women's health services, The St. Luke Hospitals understand that a woman's needs are complex," explains Sue Cole, clinical manager of the St. Luke Northern Kentucky Cancer Treatment Center. "To truly meet those needs, we not only offer individualized care for the body, but also educational opportunities on a variety of women's issues. The St. Luke Hospital Center for Breast Health is proud to offer Living and Loving: Sexuality After Breast Cancer." A registration fee of $20 per person or $35 per couple will be required.
