University Air Care Hosts Third Annual Regional Conference

The Third Annual University Air Care Regional Conference will be held Feb. 20, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at the Argosy Casino & Hotel, Lawrenceburg, Ind. Nurses, physicians and pre-hospital care providers can learn about current emergency care issues presented by local and national experts from institutions such as the FBI, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and The University Hospital Level 1 Trauma Center.
Topics include violence in society and health care, tactical medicine, penetrating trauma, evidence preservation when caring for victims of violent crime, care of AMI, workplace violence in health care, spinal cord injuries and ambulance safety. Exhibits will also be available.
The program cost is $50 and includes continental breakfast, breaks, luncheon and the program handbook.
This conference has been approved by the UC Paramedic Program for (6.5) six and one-half hours of EMS Continuing Education Credit (ODPS No. 330;CoAEMSP No. 60080). This offering has also been approved for 7.5 contact hours by the Ohio Board of Nursing through the OBN Approver Unit at the Health Alliance (OBN-007092).
