Cincinnati -- "Advanced Forensic Application in Caring for Survivors of Interpersonal Violence," will be held May 1 and 2, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Alliance Business Center, 3200 Burnet Ave.
The two-day conference, presented by the Regional Forensic Council of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky, will explore issues related to the forensic assessment and care of domestic violence victims. The event is designed for sexual assault nurse examiners, registered nurses, attorneys, law enforcement professionals and social workers.
The cost of the class is $100 for the first day or $250 for both days. Participation on the first day is a prerequisite for the second day. Continuing education credit is provided by the Xavier University Department of Nursing (OH-195).

The Regional Forensic Council is a group of professionals from area institutions who saw the need for advanced education in forensics and developed a program to fill that need. The council has representation from the Health Alliance and University Hospital, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Hamilton County Prosecutors, Butler County YWCA, Tri Health, Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Middletown Hospital, Fort Hamilton Hospital, Mercy Fairfield Hospital, McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital, Rape Crisis and Abuse Center, and Xavier University.
