Kenwood - The Jewish Hospital has elected Richard J. Ryan, M.D., F.A.C.E.P., as president of the Medical Staff of Jewish Hospital. The two-year appointment becomes effective March 1.
Dr. Ryan is the director of the department of emergency medicine at Jewish Hospital; vice chairman and associate professor in the department of emergency medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine; and vice president of practice management for University Emergency Physicians/Vanguard Medical, Inc. He is also a member of the Jewish Hospital Board of Trustees and is an active member of several Health Alliance committees, including the Medical Executive Committee, Policy Group and Medical Advisory Group.
Dr. Ryan received his bachelor of science degree in biology from Boston College. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati, where he was chief resident. He is board-certified in emergency medicine. Dr. Ryan resides in Miami Township (Hamilton County) with his wife and four children.
