Jeff Heffelfinger Named Administrative Director of Barrett Cancer Center at University Hospital

Cincinnati - Jeff Heffelfinger has been appointed administrative director of the Barrett Cancer Center at The University Hospital. In this role, Heffelfinger is responsible for the daily operations, administrative oversight, fiscal management, and strategic planning of services provided at the Barrett Center. Facilitating the organization's progress toward becoming an NCI designated cancer center is one of Heffelfinger's top priorities.

Heffelfinger holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio; a master's degree in health care administration from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; and a doctorate of health care ministries from Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend, Ind. Heffelfinger also maintains professional memberships with the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Association of Community Cancer Centers, and the Society for Radiation Oncology Administrators.

Heffelfinger has 18 years of experience in health care administration and has previously directed comprehensive cancer centers in Chillicothe, Ohio; Burlington, N.C.; and Indianapolis, Ind., prior to joining the Health Alliance at The University Hospital's Barrett Center.
