Fort Hamilton Hosts Go Red Health Fair

Date: 2-5-2010Fort Hamilton Hospital is hosting a free community heart health fair. This event coincides with National Go Red for Women Day and will take place on Friday, Feb. 5, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., in the hospital's main lobby at 630 Eaton Avenue.
At noon, Daniel Eckert, M.D., F.A.C.C., will give a special presentation on "Women at Risk for Heart Disease" in the hospital auditorium. Dr. Eckert is an interventional cardiologist with Fort Hamilton Cardiovascular Services.
Fort Hamilton is an annual sponsor of the Go Red for Women luncheon, and encourages all attendees to wear red to show their support for raising women's heart health awareness. Hospital employees
The health fair will feature:
- heart healthy cooking demonstrations
- blood pressure screenings
- lipid profiles
- vein screenings
- educational information
- risk assessments
- and gifts and refreshments.
Fees may apply for some screenings.
