Carol A. King Named Senior Vice President of West Chester Hospital

Date: 1-12-2006Cincinnati - The Health Alliance has named Carol A. King as senior vice president of the new community hospital to be built in West Chester. In this role, King will oversee the design and construction of the facility and serve as the chief administrator after it opens in fall of 2008.
King has more than 25 years of health care leadership experience. She most recently served as the senior vice president of operations at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that role, she was the vice president of emergency medicine services for the Health Alliance. She has also held various administration positions at Mercy Health Partners and Franciscan Health System.
King earned a master of business administration degree from Xavier University, a master of science degree in nursing administration from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She is diplomate of the American College of Health Care Executives and is certified in nursing administration advanced by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
Last year, the Health Alliance announced plans to build a new 160-bed community hospital on the University Pointe campus in West Chester, Ohio. The new hospital, which is scheduled to open in 2008, will offer a wide array of surgical services, outpatient services, imaging services, and a full-service emergency department, staffed 24 hours a day. Expansion to a 300-plus-bed hospital is planned for a later date.
