West Chester Medical Center Joins with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to Provide Care to Patients in Region

West Chester -- West Chester Medical Center and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem) have reached an agreement that will enable the new hospital in West Chester, Ohio, to accept patients insured by Anthem, including the following plans: Anthem Traditional, Blue Access (PPO), Blue Preferred Primary Plus (POS) and Blue Preferred Primary (HMO).

This collaboration will benefit the residents of Butler, Warren and surrounding counties by providing them a new option for their health and medical needs when the hospital opens Monday, May 11.

"In these economic times, it's important that people know they can come to the hospital and be treated, without worrying about whether their insurance will be accepted," says Carol King, West Chester Medical Center Senior Vice President. "We are pleased to have reached this agreement with Anthem because it ultimately means that we can help ensure West Chester residents receive the very best care." 

West Chester Medical Center is a new 160-bed hospital being built in West Chester, Ohio, and opening May 11, 2009. It will provide the latest technology delivered in a healing environment.
