Mahmoud El-Khatib,
M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Mahmoud El-Khatib is one of the transplant nephrologists at The University Hospital. He has also been appointed Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. El-Khatib works with both nephrology and kidney transplant patients. His special interests include the medical and ethical issues of living kidney transplant donors with hypertension.

Dr. El-Khatib received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He performed his residency at Case Western University and Saint Luke’s Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
