Sexual Assault Nurse Program

Compassionate Care

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, you should know about the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program at The University Hospital.  The program provides the following to survivors of sexual assault and to the community:

  • Improved care for the survivor of sexual assault

  • Community support for law enforcement and prosecutors

  • Forensic nursing

The emergency department at The University Hospital, in cooperation with the SANE program, is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the survivors of rape.

With the use of the newest technology and education, The University Hospital can provide evidence to law enforcement and prosecutors to assist in the arrest and prosecution of rapists in our community.

Contact us at any time for further information about sexual assault in our community and the availability of care.
