Volunteers are needed in nearly every hospital department. Whether it is answering the phones, delivering flowers or escorting a patient, your effort helps us meet our mission of providing compassionate and professional healthcare to the Tristate.

Because of major changes in healthcare delivery, the need for volunteers is greater than ever. Being a volunteer at one of our hospitals makes you a crucial player on the hospital team.

The Team
As a volunteer, you will be placed in the hospital of your choice or the one nearest you that matches your skills and interests. Because each volunteer brings individuality and new experiences, the opportunities to help are endless. Below are just some of the areas where volunteers make a difference:

Volunteers are recruited throughout the year. Any adult or teenager (14 or older) wishing to apply or to obtain information should call the volunteer office at any of the Health Alliance hospitals.

After receiving your application, you will be interviewed to determine your preferences, abilities and any physical limitations. Then you will be matched with the hospital's vacant volunteer positions. Applicants who are accepted are required to participate in an orientation program. The program includes films and presentations by members of the hospital staff.
