The physicians who make up the medical staffs of the Health Alliance hospitals provide a full spectrum of specialized patient care programs, many of which are unique in the region. The Health Alliance is affiliated with more than 2,500 nationally and internationally recognized physicians. Many of these physicians are leaders in their field of primary and specialty medicine, offering the broadest range of expertise for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease.
Alliance Primary Care
Alliance Primary Care (APC) is one of our largest primary care physician practices, with numerous locations. APC includes internal medicine, family medicine and pediatric physicians. APC’s philosophy is grounded in a strong commitment to patient satisfaction. Being community based, the group can deliver care in a setting that is both convenient to the patient and personalized.
Alliance Physicians & Surgeons
The Health Alliance supported the development of Alliance Physicians & Surgeons (APS), a multi-specialty physician organization with more than 1,000 members. Formed as a limited liability company in the fall of 1996, APS represents one of the largest organizations of its kind in the country. Together, APS and the Health Alliance can enter into contracts with insurance carriers and managed care companies through the contracting entity Alliance Partners. Each organization has 50 percent ownership of Alliance Partners.
Alliance Partners (AP) is a joint venture between the physicians of Alliance Physicians & Surgeons and the Health Alliance. It serves as the contracting vehicle for all Health Alliance managed care contracts. Providing medical management services for managed care patients is an important function of the organization. In this role, AP seeks to bring medical management decisions closer to the physician and the patient. AP is organized to provide support for physicians in their practices by offering a variety of services to enhance their operations.
